Agri-Enterprise Project

The Agri-Enterprise Project is an innovative initiative that leverages the clinic’s access to a large area of land to meet the high demand for fruits, poultry, and livestock products in the village and adjoining villages. Our goal is to cultivate fruits such as passionfruit, pineapple, and avocado. With the space we also plant to raise chickens for meat and eggs, cows for milk production, and goats for meat.

This diversified approach can generate funds for maintaining and expanding the clinic's services. With the infrastructure, such as fencing and irrigation, already in place, we are well-prepared to grow these fruits, raise poultry, and manage livestock. We plan to launch this project in the Spring of 2025, aiming to create a sustainable source of income to support our healthcare mission. Our vision includes employing villagers to assist with growing and caring for the livestock. This project will not only provide valuable income opportunities for the villagers but also actively involve them in the clinic's operations. By doing so, Muira Village Health Center will raise additional funds to sustain and expand its services, ultimately empowering the community and enhancing the clinic's ability to serve to its fullest potential.

In February 2025, we began our poultry project by purchasing 10 chicks, raising them to produce both eggs and chicks. As of August 2025, they have laid 20 eggs, resulting in 16 new chicks. Alongside this, we have been steadily growing our goat herd by purchasing 2–3 goats each month. We are able to feed them with the agriculture we grow on our land, making the project sustainable. As of August 2025, our herd has grown to 14 goats, which we can butcher for meat or sell when needed.

We are also cultivating leafy greens such as spinach, dodo, and borr, along with tomatoes. In the near future, we plan to add onions and chilies to our crops.
